Sook reminds me of my Aunt Clara in so many ways. She never married; was always basically put-upon by the other members of her family (except for my Daddy! She was my surrogate grandmother, my friend, my mentor. She taught me so much; even if she was convinced she was stupid herself. Excellent movie. Great music & performances. It has an interesting story line and gives a view of the pressures of being a celebrity so often controlled by managers & hounded by the media. Their lives have positives because they can fulfill their passions but negatives of always being in the limelight with their privacy being constantly hounded and being judged by media. It was also good to show how being a celebrity can lead to falling under the influence of alcohol & that friends can help guide a person to sobriety. I did not feel that the tactful fleeting few seconds of the open back view of the hospital gown was inappropriate. It was a way to show how a person who is labelled as unstable has to deal with the embarrassment of being in a institution that removes clothes that they fear the person may use to harm themselves, in this case no pants & only a hospital gown removes the possible self harm with a belt.

Wellll...that's an hour & 36 mins I'll never get back. What a waste!!!
